Ready to Use Fast Drying Metal Stainless Steel Urethane Coating
Superlife-316U is a single package urethane, pigmented with 316 stainless steel flake. It features fast dry and good color retention. It is specially designed for high performance uses where hardness, flexibility, chemical and abrasion resistance are required.
Ideal for equipment and areas where a minimum of downtime is desired. Use on properly primed surfaces where long-term corrosion protection and good abrasion resistance is needed.
How to Apply Urethane Stainless Steel Coating Ready to Use:
For best results, the surface should be sandblasted to a commercial blast. If blasting is not possible, a power tool cleans the surface to remove dirt, loose paint, dust or rust. Wash the surface with BC-4000 cleaner to remove grease, oil or other contaminants.
Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 35° F and 120° F and the surface temperature is 5° above the dew point. Can be applied in temperatures below 35° F by using an oxygenated solvent as the thinner.
Recommended Primers: Prime Solution-5250 Red / 5253 Gray or any quality lacquer resistant primer.
Equipment Recommended SUPERLIFE-316U Stainless Steel Urethane Coating:
Brush On: Use good quality natural bristle brush.
Roller Application: Use quality roller cover
Air Atomized Sprayer: Follow equipment manufacturers nozzle and needle selection recommendation for use with medium viscosity paints.
Airless Spaying: Use .017 to .025 tip at 2000 to 2500 psi.
Hot Spraying: Recommended temperature 120° F to 140° F
Thinning SuperLife-316U™ Urethane Stainless Steel Satin Gray Coating:
Rolling / Brush: Mineral Spirits Normally not required. Use 5% to 10% if needed. Use without thinning in VOC restricted areas.
Air Atomizer Spray: VM&P Naptha Use 10% to 20% as needed. Use without thinning in VOC
Airless Sprayer: VM&P Naptha Normally not required, use 5%-10% if needed. Use without thinning in VOC restricted areas.
Cleanup: VM&P Naptha or Mineral Spirits

VOC: 3.86 lbs per gallon or 462 grams per liter.
Flash Point: 75° F
Flammable. Contains VM&P Naptha and Mineral Spirits. Keep away from heat and open flame. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapor. Avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact. Do not take internally.
