Acrylic resin, pigmented with 100% 316L grade stainless steel. Use wherever you need maximum corrosion resistance, as well as protection from all types of weather. Resists chemical fumes and spillage, and spillage of oil or water. Apply to properly prepared new or unpainted galvanized metal, aluminum, tin, mild steel, or masonry surfaces. Available in metallic gray and can be used for touch up on all stainless coatings. General use on metals.
How to Apply SuperCoat-316L on Metal:
Only Apply SuperCoat 316L when air and surface temperatures are between 50oF and 100oF and surface temperature is at least 5oF above the dew point.
Preparing the Metal Surface for 316L Stainless Steel Pigmented paint:
New metal surfaces should be free of oil, grease, rust or other contaminants. For best results, commercial sandblast surfaces before priming provides “tooth” for the coating to get maximum adhesion. Old painted surfaces should be free of grease, oil, rust, chalk, and loose peeling paint, then apply Supercoat-316L directly to the painted surface.

Recommended Metal Primer: Steel Plus Epoxy Primer
How to Thin SuperCoat 316L:
Using a Roller or Brush: Thinning usually is not required. Use 5%-10% if needed (approximately ½ (Paint Thinner) per gallon).
Using an Air Atomizer Sprayer: Use 10%-20% or as needed (approximately 1 ½ pint per gallon). (Paint Thinner)
Using an Airless Sprayer: Normally not required, use 5%-10% if required (approximately ½ pint per (Paint Thinner) gallon).
Dura-Steel OC 316™ CleanUp: Paint Thinner
Recommended Equipment for SureCoat 316L™ Paint:
Brush: Use a quality synthetic bristle brush
Roller: Use good quality natural or synthetic cover.
Air Atomized Spraying: Follow equipment manufacturers nozzle and needle selection recommendation for use with medium viscosity paints.
Airless Spraying: Use .011 to .013 tip at 2000 to 2500 psi.
Hot Spray: Recommended temperature 120°F to 140°F
